When we first got engaged and began planning for the wedding, we knew that with the budget that we set, we would have to make some sacrifices. However, we knew that there were key elements of the wedding that would not make the “sacrifice list”, one of which was our photography. We wanted great photography that would capture the memories of our special day forever. In our quest for researching photographers, we wanted to make sure that we had someone who was Detroit-based and would give us editorial yet natural- looking photos and none of the cheesy, cliché posed photos that often get captured with weddings. And then we came across Daniel’s work. It was PHENOMENAL! And we booked him immediately. Our engagement shoot was the first time we got to see, first-hand, the Master (Dan) at work. Our photo shoot was magical. Dan's creativity allowed us to have an effortless and fun photo shoot that produced exquisite photos. The work that he and his wife did for the wedding did not fall short and superseded our expectations. We are truly grateful to Dan and Mrs. V for their work and will be lifelong customers of DSH Photography!   ~ Monica

Dan & Mrs. V have been every bit of SENSATIONAL capturing our family milestones. They have been with us every step of the way since taking our engagement photos in 2010! Daniel and Vee have been on my personal radar ever since Dan beautifully documented my friend's wedding in 2007. And I only had to get engaged to book him, well that day finally came, and when the date was set I contacted Daniel. After going over the services and costs associated with wedding photography, then getting my fiancé (now husband) on board, we booked. During our engagement session in downtown Ferndale, and at The Oakland, we both knew we made the right photography choice; it was pleasure working with Dan and Vee. They've been married for over 25 years and have done hundreds of weddings, they are equally creative, passionate, and amazing to work with. Our wedding day was a long anticipated event, and so were the photos - but it doesn't have to be! Dan had some pictures available within one week for me to share and brag about. Dan scoped out the venue the day before, brought countless lenses, waders, umbrellas, and whatnot to capture our day perfectly. Dan didn't leave until everyone was satisfied, and by everyone I mean him, because his creative mind eyes stop wondering and looking for the next beautiful shot. People love every picture Dan and Vee took on our wedding day, they were never in the way, and captured every moment possible. Daniel and V were the first vendors we booked for our September 6 wedding, and they were two of the best that we worked with throughout the entire planning process. Before the wedding they were always accessible whenever we needed them, and allowed my family to pay for the photo package during our engagement, which helped us pay for other services as the big day got closer. The day of, I just knew we had the right people! They both showed up with their work belts, cameras, IFB communication devices in their ears, and with such an amazing and supportive attitude on our special day. While these two do take wedding pictures for a living, they made us feel extra special as the couple they were attending to that weekend. The only thing that tops their professionalism, price and positive attitude was their work. Even though I've been married for a few months now, I still find myself going through my photos and re-living some of those moments with so much emotion because that is what they captured in their photographs. It is true what they say, your wedding day will go by in a flash but your pictures will last forever. Red and I unequivocally recommend them for any picture needs you have. Our relationship with DSH Photography LLC started by chance. I was referred to Dan Harris and his wife Vee by a friend of mine and I must say that it was the greatest photography decision that we have ever made. From the start Dan and Vee were nothing but professional, easy going, receptive to our ideas and responsive to our questions. On our wedding day my father was unable to attend the wedding and Dan captured one of the last photographs that I will have of my father and I together. That was the icing on the cake for the entire experience. They captured that day like no other and I am so glad that I made the choice to utilize their services. If you are looking for quality and affordability DSH Photography is for you! This husband & wife team is AMAZING!They are 100% professional and dedicated to ensuring that each couple they work with is satisfied. I could not have asked for better photographers to capture one of the most important days of my life!!! They did not miss a beat! From beginning to end my photos read like a book. I would def recommend having two photographers present for your special day. One with the bride for pre-ceremony moments and the other with the groom. I LOVED being able to look back and see the special moments shared by the groomsmen as well as seeing the guests as they arrived, even some signing the guest book. (As a bride you miss seeing so much of what takes place before you make your grand entrance.) I would highly highly recommend anyone looking for wedding photography to book this dynamic duo!!! Daniel and his wife V are very compassionate about their product. They are the best people and best photographers I have ever come in contact with. DSH photography captured my whole day from morning til night! I absolutely love my photos.
